Do you accept cosigners for applications?

We do accept and sometimes require co-signors (people signing to be liable on a lease that won’t be occupying property) as one way to increase the strength of an application and approve it. However there is some complexity here as not just any cosigner will help with any application defect.

A cosigner needs to have good collectible income (a good job with wages that could be garnished if primary signers default on their lease leaving unpaid debts ) or assets (houses with equity, paid for cars, bank accounts with money in them) and good credit to make a real difference if we approve your application.

If there are civil or criminal background issues with a report then cosigner will also likely make little difference in approval though each issue will be dealt with on a case by case basis and won’t necessarily necessitate an application decline by themselves.

Normally an applicant still needs to be making 3 times gross rent in verifiable gross income regardless of cosigner or cosigner income to be approved.
